What Colorbond profiles are available?
We install all Colorbond profiles including Corrugated (traditional ribbed), Custom Orb (our most popular for residential), Trimdek (modern commercial look), Klip-Lok (concealed fixing), and Standing Seam (architectural). Like-for-like roof replacement (same height and shape) typically doesn't require a building permit. However, if you're changing roof height, structure, or converting from tile to metal (which can affect weight calculations), you may need approval. We handle permit applications when required and can advise on your specific situation during the quote.
Can you remove my old tile or asbestos roof safely?
Yes. We safely remove and dispose of all old roofing materials. For tiles, we strip, stack, and remove responsibly. For asbestos roofing (common in 1950s-80s homes), we engage licensed asbestos removalists—this is a legal requirement. We coordinate the entire process so you're not left without a roof. Asbestos removal costs are quoted separately.
Is metal roofing noisy in rain?
Modern metal roofing with proper insulation is no noisier than tiles. We install sarking (insulation) under the metal which significantly dampens sound. The days of tin sheds drumming in the rain don't apply to properly installed residential metal roofing. If you're particularly noise-sensitive, we can recommend enhanced insulation options.

Should I choose Colorbond or Zincalume?
Colorbond is pre-painted Zincalume steel, so the base material is the same. Colorbond offers 22+ colour options and is the standard for residential roofing. Unpainted Zincalume (silver/grey) is slightly cheaper and suits industrial or rural applications. For homes, we almost always recommend Colorbond for its aesthetics and paint protection.
