1. Agreement to Terms

  • Ridge capping repair and replacement
  • Gutter replacement and repairs
  • Roof leak detection and repair
  • Emergency roofing services

3. Quotes and Estimates

3.1 Free Quotes

We provide free, no-obligation quotes for all services. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified.

3.2 Quote Accuracy

Quotes are based on the information provided and initial inspection. Final costs may vary if additional work is required or unforeseen issues are discovered during the project.

3.3 Variations

Any variations to the quoted work will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding. Additional charges may apply for work beyond the original scope.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Deposit

A deposit may be required before work commences. The deposit amount will be specified in your quote.

4.2 Final Payment

Final payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer, and other payment methods as agreed.

4.3 Late Payment

Accounts not paid within 30 days may incur late payment fees and interest charges as permitted by law.

5. Scheduling and Delays

5.1 Work Schedule

We will provide an estimated timeframe for completion. Actual completion dates may vary due to weather conditions, material availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

5.2 Weather Delays

Roofing work is weather-dependent. We will reschedule work at no additional cost if weather conditions make it unsafe or inappropriate to proceed.

5.3 Access

You must provide clear and safe access to the work site. If access is restricted or unsafe, work may be delayed or rescheduled.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

6.1 Workmanship Warranty

We provide a 10-year warranty on workmanship for most services. Warranty terms will be specified in your service agreement.

6.2 Materials Warranty

Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. We will assist with warranty claims where applicable.

6.3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage caused by severe weather events (storms, cyclones, etc.)
  • Damage from impacts or accidents
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by third parties or other trades
  • Work performed by other contractors over our work
  • Failure to maintain the roof as recommended

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 Our Insurance

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and workers compensation insurance. Certificates of currency are available upon request.

7.2 Damage to Property

While we take every care to protect your property, you should notify your home insurance provider that roofing work is being conducted.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided, except where Australian Consumer Law provides otherwise.

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Cancellation by Customer

You may cancel services before work commences. Deposits may be refundable depending on costs already incurred (materials ordered, scheduling, etc.).

8.2 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone work for safety reasons, non-payment, or if access is not provided as agreed.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the services supplied again or be compensated if the services fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

10. Safety and Compliance

10.1 Licensing

We are fully licensed and registered. License: VBA Registered

10.2 Safety Standards

All work is performed in accordance with Australian Standards and WorkSafe Victoria requirements.

10.3 Building Permits

Where required, we will advise on necessary permits. Permit costs are typically not included in our quotes unless specified.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Frankston Peninsula Roofing and is protected by Australian copyright laws.

12. Privacy

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Complaints

If you have a complaint about our services, please contact us immediately so we can work to resolve the issue.

14. Emergency Services

Emergency roofing services may attract additional fees due to the urgent nature and potential after-hours work. Emergency service terms will be agreed upon before work commences.

15. Subcontractors

We may use qualified subcontractors to complete certain aspects of work. We remain responsible for the quality and completion of all work performed.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.

17. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
